We are extremely experienced at providing a very high quality, highly enjoyable party disco, and we guarantee to get you and your guests dancing.

There is no such thing as a standard engagement or anniversary party, but if there was it would be something like as follows...

19:30	Guests commence arriving	Background music (loud enough to dance, but quiet enough to talk without being drowned out)
20:00	Cake Cutting	DJ makes introductions to the happy couple on the dance floor
21:00	Buffet	DJ announces buffet, and background music (restaurant style)
21:30	Buffet ends	DJ recommences the party at higher volume
00:00 (midnight)	End of evening	DJ thank you & good night

We treat engagements and anniversary parties in a similar vein as weddings as the format is often the same.

Playing the right music
This may sound obvious, but every event is different, with different guests. It is more than just having the right music, it is about reading the audience and understanding what is needed, and when. We always commence dancing (unless instructed otherwise) with the First Dance as chosen by the happy couple. As we work closely with the couple and their families prior to the performance we are guaranteed to have the music required; play lists are always gratefully received, as well as those songs to be avoided.

A great light show
Again, every event and venue is different, and it is important that the disco lighting provides a great experience for your guests. With a large range of lights and special effects, and the experience to use them effectively, the event is enhanced. Lighting should be used to match the music, mood and tempo of the event.

The lighting and effects used are programmed to work together and are similar to those found in many prestigious venues. A quality lighting set up makes for an impressive experience; one to be remembered

Getting the volume right
We have a fantastic set of very high quality speakers with built in dual amps. The sound quality is superb, and really sets The Disco Co apart.

Getting the volume right is important so that everybody has a good time, not just those on the dance floor. We understand that you are not at a nightclub, that you don't want to be deafened but that those dancing do want to enjoy themselves. You don't need to worry, because we are able to judge this correctly and avoid complaints! If on the evening you consider it to be too loud, simply ask for the volume to be reduced.

Requests
It is important that you and your guests hear the music they most enjoy. We always offer the opportunity for guests to make requests, but it is essential that you feel in control of your event.

Microphone
Your guests want great music to dance to, and don't generally want to listen to a DJ commentary, so they are kept to a minimum, but sufficient to build up a rapport with your guests and encourage requests. If you require any announcements to be made, we are always happy to oblige.

We are always smartly dressed. The DJ stand/rig is compact and self contained and very professional. We are 100% reliable, and have never failed to provide a professional service.
